Ministry staff have reviewed SPEV's documents and have
confirmed their alignment with the requirements set out in the COVID-19 Operational Guidelines and the Provincial COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines for K-12 Settings.
Please see the documents below which may have been previously communicated to families via REMIND 101.
As announced provincially, our first day of school will be on
Thursday, September 10th.
Door open at 8:30 a.m.
Early Dismissal 11:00 a.m.
All students will attend school in-person as opposed to a hybrid model involving remote learning as we did in the spring.
A Learning Group is a group of students and staff who remain together throughout a school term. Students and staff will be assigned to a Learning Group with no more than 60 people.
We will be supplying two reusable face masks for each student and staff member.
Hand sanitizer stations have been set up at all entrances and exits including classrooms.
Hands-Free soap and paper towel dispensers have been installed in classrooms and washrooms.
To manage the flow in hallways the North side will only be used to go UP while the south side is designated as DOWN.
Follow the paw prints, arrows and signs which can be found around the school.
Regular cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched items throughout the day.
Visitor access during school hours will be prioritized to those supporting activities that benefit student learning and well-being.
When interacting outside of the Learning Group, physical distancing (2m) will be implemented.
Parents and caregivers must assess their children daily for symptoms of the common cold, influenza, COVID-19 or other infectious respiratory disease.
Have a great Summer, see you in September.
